MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Students at Carver High School received clear backpacks Friday as a part of a new community project. Community members from several Montgomery organizations such as Omega Psi Phi Fraternity inc., the Montgomery alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Division 12, the Montgomery Public School Board, and Citizens that Care have come together to support students in The Merge, a project aimed at encouraging student unity in the merging of Carver High School and Sidney Lanier High School.
