Lee Corso’s “College GameDay” headgear pick has become an iconic part of the show every week.
But Corso did something on Saturday before his headgear pick for the Georgia-Alabama matchup that fired up the crowd in Tuscaloosa and also went viral.
Before “College GameDay” went on the air, Corso played to the crowd. He held up a Georgia helmet then an Alabama one to gauge the crowd’s reaction. He then spiked the Bulldogs helmet on stage to the delight of the pro-Alabama masses.
The video was posted to the “College GameDay” official X account and garnered 535,000 views and nearly 4,500 likes.
Corso, of course, did his famous headgear pick at the end of the show in which he donned the elephant head of the Crimson Tide mascot Big Al.
Alabama had a clean sweep during the winner predictions with every member of the “College GameDay” crew — Desmond Howard, Rece Davis, former Alabama head coach Nick Saban, Terry Saban (Nick’s wife) and Pat McAfee all picking the Crimson Tide to upset the No. 2-ranked Bulldogs.
