MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Two candidates in the race for the Alabama’s Second Congressional District went head-to-head in a debate in Montgomery this morning. With the November general election less than five weeks away, Democrat Shomari Figures faced off against Republican Caroleene Dobson. The two are competing for the open seat for the newly-redrawn district which could help decide the balance of power in the U.S. House of Representatives.
