Residents of Montgomery, Alabama, and visitors from out of town, can look forward to an upgraded parking experience starting Tuesday, October 1st, as the city unveiled 69 new parking kiosks. These kiosks, strategically placed in the heart of the entertainment district and other high-traffic areas, are designed to make parking more efficient and convenient for everyone.

While the kiosks still accept traditional coin payments, they now also offer the option to pay using Visa or Mastercard, bringing a modernized approach to parking in the downtown area. At each kiosk, users will enter their vehicle’s license plate number, select the required parking time, and pay using a card, making it a quick and straightforward process.

Though the new kiosks are widely spread throughout downtown, some single-space parking meters will remain on the outskirts of the city center. If you find a parking meter directly in front of your space, you’ll need to pay at that meter. For spaces without a direct meter, simply proceed to the nearest kiosk.
