The neighbor offered Ashley Parham a place to stay for the night, but she declined and only remained for a short while after the Sheriff left. Parham then returned to Shane Weaver’s residence, where she found the door open and her clothes easily accessible.
Shane appeared as though nothing had happened and suggested she stay and “sleep it off.” Parham, still in shock and disbelief from the events, asked for her purse and keys. Shane insisted she shouldn’t leave in her condition, and Parham, in an unresponsive state, stayed while Shane left the house.
The next morning, Shane returned home, woke Parham, and finally returned her purse, cell phone, and keys. As compensation for arranging the assault against her, Parham believes Shane was given a new car.
