Montgomery shooting injures five people, including two children

Five people, including two children, were hospitalized after a Wednesday afternoon shooting, according to the Montgomery Police Department.

Officers responded to a hospital at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. Three men and two children had sustained gunshot wounds earlier in the day, Maj. Saba Coleman said in an email.

One man and one child had gunshot wounds that police described as life-threatening. The shooting occurred in the 1000 block of Liberty Square Drive, police said.

Coleman said in her email that police are not releasing any more information at this time.
