Good afternoon everyone. We continue to watch a strong cold front crossing into parts of northern Florida, with heavy showers and thunderstorms ahead of it. Locally heavy rain with rumbles of thunder, is moving from west to east fairly quickly, soaking the same areas ranging from Cedar Key, FL to Jacksonville.

Behind it is the real story as unseaonably cold air is expected to filter in overnight across much of the Southeast, Gulf Coast, and north Florida. Temperatures in the low to mid 30’s are reaching down far enough, as to where the National Weather Service has issued frost advisories and freeze warnings for overnight tonight into tomorrow morning for most of the Florida panhnadle and north Florida.

Elsewhere, we have frost and freeze warnings/watches stretching from parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and into the southeast corner of North Carolina. Temperatures across these areas are expected to dip below freezing overnight tonight and tomorrow morning.
