Warming up this week, Rain returns for Christmas Day

Tonight : clear, cold, and frosty. Lows will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s.

Monday will be a pleasant day with plenty of sunshine as high pressure sits northeast of Alabama. This will send a dry and cool wedge of air into Alabama from the east keeping us dry with high temperatures in the middle 50s.

Christmas Eve : will be a dry day as clouds increase from the west. It will be warmer with highs in the lower 60s. Clouds will move into Central Alabama on Christmas Eve night as Santa arrives. It will be chilly with lows in the middle 30s.

Christmas Day : Wednesday will be cloudy and mild with scattered showers as an upper-level wave moves across the Southeast U.S. This will not be the nicest Christmas across Alabama with rain. High temperatures will be in the lower 60s.

Thursday will be a relatively dry day with plenty of clouds as high pressure sends another dry wedge of air into Alabama. It will stay mild with highs in the lower to middle 60s.

Another upper-level wave will move across Central Alabama on Friday bringing us another round of scattered showers with highs in the 60s.
