First Alert: Tracking rain Friday night into Saturday

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – More cool, dry weather is ahead for Thursday and most of Friday. Enjoy it while you can, because big changes will bring wet weather, then cold weather to the state over the next 7-10 days!

Our next system takes aim at the state Friday night into Saturday, bringing a quick shot of rain. Much of the rain will fall overnight Friday night, while you’re sleeping. A rumble or two of thunder is also possible, but the air is expected to be too cool and stable for any risk of severe weather.

Rainfall amounts will be in the one-half to one inch range with the Friday night/Saturday system. A few pockets of leftover showers will linger into Saturday afternoon, then the rain will come to an end Saturday evening…
