Montgomery man sentenced after federal drug, gun convictions

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A Montgomery man was sentenced to federal prison after being convicted of drug and gun charges, according to the Department of Justice.

23-year-old Arthur Varcea Colvin, received a sentence of eight years in prison on March 4, Acting U.S. Attorney Kevin Davidson said in a press release.

According to Colvin’s indictment and other court records, on Feb. 1, 2023, Montgomery police officers saw the driver of a vehicle commit a traffic violation and made a traffic stop. Colvin was in the front passenger’s seat, 28-year-old Le’Anthony Washington was in the driver’s seat, and another passenger was in the back seat…
