(WDHN) — The Alabama Coroner Training Commission is ensuring that coroners around the state are doing their required continuing education.
The commission says every coroner and deputy coroner in the state must complete 12 hours of training or education every calendar year — It’s been a law since 2007 but is now being enforced by new leadership.
The coroner training leadership started sending out emails to 19 coroners around the state, letting them know that if they haven’t done the training or haven’t recorded it, they were labeled non-compliant…
