WEATHER AWARE Tonight and Early Sunday For Severe Weather!

Saturday morning is starting out calm with clouds and temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s. We’ll see a mix of sun and clouds today as temperatures rise into the low 80s by the afternoon. Tonight though, severe weather is likely for parts of the Chattahoochee Valley as we are under a moderate risk for severe weather, with the highest risk to our west, in Mississippi and central and northern Alabama.

Timing: Storms will begin entering the area late tomorrow, around 8 PM/9 PM ET . The storms will continue eastward overnight, exiting the region by 8 AM ET Sunday .

Threats: Strong tornadoes, winds up to 80mph, and large hail will all be possible. To our west, long-track tornadoes will be possible. Please look over your weather preparedness plan for tonight. Do not panic, just be prepared.
