The National Weather Service (NWS) in Mobile confirmed this morning that its prediction for strong storms Saturday and into Sunday had not changed.
A tornado outbreak is expected to unfold across the Alabama today, with numerous long-track tornadoes likely. Right now, there is a moderate risk of storms entering Butler and Crenshaw counties around 3 p.m. and lingering through midnight. Gusty, non-thunderstorm winds with gusts up to 45 miles per hour are likely throughout the day.
