Storm leaves widespread damage in some parts of Georgia

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A storm system that killed dozens across the U.S. largely spared the CSRA of damage early Sunday, but there was widespread destruction in some areas of Georgia.

The CSRA saw strong gusts, heavy rain, lightning and a series of tornado warnings – although no tornadoes were confirmed.
