Huntingdon student-athlete killed in early Sunday morning crash

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Huntingdon College is mourning the loss of one of its student-athletes, who was killed in an early Sunday morning crash in east Alabama.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Emma G. Howard, 19, was killed when the 2020 Jeep Wrangler she was driving struck the rear end of a 18-wheeler’s tractor trailer.

ALEA investigators said the crash happened around 5:15 a.m. along U.S. 431, approximately 25 miles south of Phenix City, in Russell County. First responders who arrived on the scene found Howard and pronounced her deceased on the scene…
