Overturned Vehicle Accident in Houston County Involves Juvenile Ejection

Houston County, AL (WDNews) – At approximately 1:31 PM, Saturday, Houston County 911 dispatched multiple emergency services, including Gordon Police, Gordon Volunteer Fire, Pansey Volunteer Fire Department, and ALEA Troopers, to a serious overturned motor vehicle accident located at 3941 North County Road 95 in Houston County.

According to Chief Gray of Gordon the incident involved a single vehicle that overturned, resulting in the ejection of occupants. Upon arrival, emergency responders found a 21-year-old Hispanic male with a broken femur and other injuries. He was subsequently taken into emergency surgery. A second individual, a 14-year-old Hispanic juvenile, fled into the nearby woodline, sustaining unknown injuries.

The search for the missing juvenile took multiple hours to complete. To aid in the effort, two drones were deployed by the Dothan Police Department, along with a helicopter from Wasp. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department K-9 tracking team unit played a crucial role in locating and flushing out the juvenile from the wooded area.
