Montgomery’s space race-era planetarium faces uncertain future

While a space race loomed over the nation, Montgomery was over the moon for the state-of-the-art W.A. Gayle Planetarium when it made its debut in Oak Park in 1968.

For some some elder patrons, that feeling is still there with every visit.
