More than five inches of rain fell in less than 24 hours—flooding streets and neighborhoods and pushing emergency crews into action.
Phenix City Mayor Eddie Lowe says he wants to assure the community that they are doing everything they can. “Natural disasters happen and certainly they happen here, which, you know, no city and no municipality likes to see.
