Alabama officially approved legislation that allows the Alabama Farmers Federation to sell healthcare plans to their members

ALABAMA ( WDHN ) – Alabama state lawmakers have officially approved the legislation that allows the ‘Alabama Farmers Federation’ to sell healthcare plans to their members that bypasses federal requirements, which can turn people away for preexisting conditions.

Under the new legislation, medical visits, hospitalizations and other costs are not classified as health insurance.

The new health plans would not have to follow the Affordable Care Act requirements and rules, and it could turn away people, due to their preexisting conditons…
