Florida Panhandle Storm Alert: Damaging Winds and Hail Risk Until Early Sunday Morning

Tallahassee, Fla. – A line of strong storms moving in from Alabama is expected to bring gusty winds and hail to the Florida Panhandle tonight, with the threat continuing into early Sunday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) is in place for parts of Southeast Alabama, Southwest Georgia, and the Big Bend region of Florida. The storms could produce isolated damaging wind gusts and small to medium hail. A brief tornado cannot be ruled out, particularly in areas closer to the Alabama-Florida border.

Counties including Leon, Jackson, Bay, and Gadsden are under the storm threat zone through the overnight hours.
