Saturday was wet and stormy across central and south Alabama. A round of showers and storms moved west to east through our area during the early morning hours. After that, our area trended drier for a time with a lull in shower and storm activity. Lingering clouds broke apart a bit, allowing instability to increase in advance of an approaching cold front. A line of strong to severe storms formed in advance of it, and moved through our area.
The last of Saturday evening’s storms clear southeast Alabama by midnight. The sky clears as the cold front moves through the rest of our area. Temperatures turn cooler, with lows in the 50s early Sunday morning. Sunday looks mostly sunny and a bit breezy, with highs in the mid to upper 70s. Sunday night lows fall to near 50°.
