BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WIAT ) — The Alabama Department of Revenue is warning residents of an ongoing text scam.
The release states the scams involve text messages claiming residents have unpaid tolls. The messages typically asks for you to click on a link beginning with “https://mydmv.alabama…” The department is imploring people to not click on the link. Doing so may take you to site that mimics the real ALDOR site and asks for your payment.
