PINE LEVEL, Ala. (WAKA) — Residents of Pine Level in Autauga county are joining forces to raise money to restore a beloved local landmark.
The Pine Level Community Center, a 96-year-old building that once served as a schoolhouse, has been in need of a new roof for several months. The aging structure suffers from significant leaks during rainstorms, which have caused paint damage to some of the original wooden ceilings. Repairs are expected to cost around $50,000.
