3rd arrest made in Montgomery kidnapping, assault

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA ) – A third person has been arrested in connection to a kidnapping and assault investigation in Montgomery, according to court documents.

Daniel Kemarcus Robertson, 25, is charged with first-degree kidnapping and first-degree assault. Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office previously arrested 26-year-old Amajay Nelson-Cox, and Jai Paige Mister, 18, on the same charges.

According to MCSO, deputies were called to the 1200 block of West South Boulevard on Monday, June 16. At the scene, authorities found a woman suffering from serious injuries, and she was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Court documents allege that Robertson held the victim while Cox doused and lit her on fire. Robertson is further accused of providing Cox with the tools which he used to beat and burn the victim…
