MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Construction on Federal Drive in Montgomery is going to take longer than originally expected, according to the City of Montgomery.
Federal Drive is a major roadway in Montgomery, home to the Garrett Coliseum and a primary roadway for travel to and from the Maxwell AFB Gunter Annex.
City officials say that when crews removed the top layer of pavement, they discovered the asphalt beneath was more damaged than expected. So, the roadway will need more repairs and take more time than anticipated…
