MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WDNews) — More than 23,000 students across Alabama are set to receive education savings account funds starting July 1 as part of the state’s new CHOOSE Act program, which Governor Kay Ivey says is putting “parents in the driver’s seat” when it comes to their child’s education.
“Last year, Alabama became the 11th state in the nation to pass a universal school choice bill,” Ivey said. “We established the CHOOSE Act to give more Alabama families the ability to CHOOSE the education that best suits their own child, plain and simple.”
