The Tuscaloosa, AL, businessman who just purchased a trio of stations in the state says he did so for two reasons: they were affordable and would allow him to preserve stations with deep ties to Alabama’s African American community.
“I’m made for radio,” Luther “Stan” Pate tells the Tuscaloosa Thread. “I’ve tried everything else, so why not radio too?”
