We are starting out the day dry with temperatures in the lower 70s. It is going to be another hot afternoon as temperatures quickly climb into the lower 90s by 1 to 2 p.m. It will remain muggy, so, the heat index could climb into the upper 90s to 100°F.
As we heat up this afternoon, scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast to develop. The best chance to see showers and storms will likely occur between 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. A strong or severe storm can never be ruled out.
