Alabama Law Enforcement Agency personnel fatally shoot suspect in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WIAT) — Alabama Law Enforcement Agency personnel fatally shot a suspect in Montgomery after a pursuit Saturday night.

According to the ALEA, a state trooper tried to stop a motorcycle around 8:08 p.m. on Cobbs Ford Road in Prattville. A pursuit started after the driver did not stop. The pursuit went south on I-65 before it ended by the 2800 block of Springfield Drive in Montgomery.

The ALEA stated the driver started running, leading to a foot pursuit. The suspect then allegedly pulled a knife. ALEA personnel fired their weapons and killed the suspect.
