Sweet Grown Alabama, the state’s non-profit agricultural branding program, invites everyone to celebrate locally grown products during Sweet Grown Alabama Day on Saturday, July 26. Celebrating is as easy as supporting an Alabama farmer! Whether it’s shopping at your local farmers market, cooking with Alabama-grown ingredients, picking fresh local flowers, dining at restaurants that feature local, or simply buying directly from a nearby farm, there are countless ways to celebrate.
Many Sweet Grown Alabama-affiliated farmers markets across the state will host special events in honor of the day. Even if you’re not near a participating market, you can still join in the celebration by visiting a nearby farmers market, buying from local growers, capturing moments from your farm-to-table experience and sharing them online to show support for Alabama farmers.
