Dangerous heat and isolated storms through Wednesday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Good Monday morning. Fair skies and warm temperatures will greet you this morning as we kick off the week in the middle 70s.

A Heat Advisory is in effect for all North Alabama and Middle Tennessee counties through 9:00 PM CDT Tuesday. Today through Wednesday are 48 First Alert Weather Days for the potentially dangerous combination of hot temperatures and very high humidity. Heat safety and hydration will be needed for the early part of the work week. The feels like temperature today will range from 100 to 106 degrees during the afternoon.

Today starts off mostly sunny with more cloud cover building in by the afternoon. Isolated to widely scattered downpours and thunderstorms are going to develop as early as noon and continue through the early evening. Skies remain partly cloudy overnight and morning lows stay warm in the middle 70s, some areas of patchy fog are expected by daybreak Tuesday…
