Scammers use fake websites and social media ads to target online shoppers, BBB warns

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – As families across Alabama gear up for back-to-school shopping, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) is warning parents to stay alert because online scammers are once again finding new ways to take your money.

This time, they’re targeting shoppers through fake websites and misleading social media ads that promise major deals but deliver nothing in return.
