Truck drivers ticketed for not speaking English

DEKALB COUNTY, Ala. (WAFF/Gray News) – Two truck drivers traveling through Alabama received tickets for not speaking English.

“The English language proficiency standard has been there for a long time,” Mark Colson, the CEO of the Alabama Trucking Association, said.

The drivers were given tickets in DeKalb County and are some of the first to be ticketed for not speaking English since a President Trump executive order went into effect in June…
