Pennsylvania Woman Convicted In Alabama For $1 Million IRS Fraud Scheme

Jury finds York resident guilty of conspiracy to commit mail fraud after she orchestrated a plot to defraud the United States government with an Alabama man.

A federal jury has convicted a York, Pennsylvania woman for her role in a conspiracy that defrauded the United States government of more than $1 million, Acting United States Attorney Kevin Davidson and IRS Criminal Investigation Special Agent in Charge Demetrius Hardeman announced today.

Queen Naja, 44, also known as Renata Winifred Ince and Naja Talibah Zahir, was found guilty of conspiracy to commit mail fraud on August 13, 2025. According to court records and evidence presented at trial, Naja masterminded a scheme to illegally obtain funds from the IRS with the help of Quentin Diego Sturgeon, 42, of Montgomery, Alabama.

The plot began in April 2021, when Naja contacted Sturgeon through social media with a plan to defraud the government. The scheme involved creating a legal trust, filing false documents with the IRS, and submitting a fraudulent check to trigger a payment to Sturgeon to which he was not entitled…
