This past week, 20 new building permits were issued statewide for construction projects exceeding $1 million. Most of these are for projects in the Birmingham metro (15 of them), but the priciest of this past week’s permits is for a project in Oxford.
$13 million permit issued for Kronospan expansion
Kronospan, one of the world’s leading producer of wood panel products, has operated a facility in Oxford since 2006. In 2023, the company announced a $350 million expansion project, which began last year.
