WETUMPKA, Ala. (WSFA) – Two popular businesses are preparing to set up shop in Wetumpka.
The city announced Monday that construction on a new TJ Maxx location will soon begin at the Toulouse Village Shopping Center on U.S. Highway 231.
“This is something our community has been asking for. TJ Maxx is a big box retailer that complements our local boutiques and specialty shops,” Lynn Weldon, Economic Development Director for the city of Wetumpka said. “Their presence helps keep shopping dollars right here in Wetumpka and Elmore County.”
Additionally, Baskin-Robins will open a new location in the River Town Center, which the city says will complement that developing part of town.
“We are thrilled to welcome Baskin-Robbins to Wetumpka. River Town Center is becoming a hub for shopping, dining, and recreation, and the addition of a family-favorite brand like Baskin-Robbins shows that our city is continuing to move forward in ways that benefit residents and visitors alike,” Mayor Jerry Willis said.
The city said more details, including opening dates, will be announced for both sites once construction times are finalized…
