First Alert: A brief taste of Fall ahead

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – While it was a warm and muggy start to our Monday, a pair of cold fronts are passing through the area… one now and one later! This is helping to usher in lower humidity values and keep rain chances minimal; in fact, highs will be in the 80s for most of the workweek, all while overnight lows hover in the 60s — giving us a brief taste of fall as we push through the last week of August.

Highs will climb to either side of 90 degrees with a north breeze around 5 to 10 mph. Rain is not expected today, with dry conditions in place.

A frontal boundary is pushing across the state today, working to filter out the humidity. The difference will really be noticeable overnight, as lows fall into the 60s under a mostly clear sky with light north winds…
