Former principal arrested for stealing thousands of dollars from Montgomery school

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A former principal was sentenced to 30 days in jail for stealing thousands of dollars while working at Life Academy.

Jamia Anderson, 37, was arrested and charged with theft of property.

Court documents show she pleaded guilty to stealing the money while she was working as the assistant principal and principal at Life Academy.

Records show the crimes occurred between April 2021 and November 2023 and state that she issued a total of nine checks totaling $44,667.60 and deposited the money into her personal account at Navy Federal Credit Union…
