Auburn Police arrest 19-year-old in downtown shots fired case

AUBURN, Ala. (WRBL) – Auburn Police have arrested a Wetumpka man in connection with gunfire that rang out in downtown Auburn early Saturday morning.

Police say 19-year-old Le’Gregory Ty’reil Blanks is charged with four counts of discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle and reckless endangerment.

The arrest came after officers patrolling downtown heard gunfire around 2:30 a.m. on August 30. Investigators located multiple unoccupied vehicles struck by bullets near the 100 block of North College Street. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived…
