The Montgomery Police Department shared promising news about crime trends during its monthly press briefing. Chief James Graboys highlighted the department’s ongoing efforts to ensure community safety.
Chief Graboys reported that violent crime in Montgomery has decreased by nearly 25 percent from last year, and property crime is down by more than 11 percent. In the past month, officers arrested three suspects in homicide cases, including one from 2024. Detectives also closed over 120 felony cases, resulting in 57 arrests, ten of which involved teenagers.
