On Sept. 10, Highland Home School administrators notified the Crenshaw County Sheriff’s office incident that occurred on the campus. While concerns circulate around the community and on social media, the Sheriff and school district officials confirm the situation is handled and presented no threat to the safety of students or the community.
According to the Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Chris Stewart, a paraprofessional working school directed a student to do something that violated school policy. Stewart said the situation was not a threat to the entire school, and the Crenshaw County Board of Education handled the matter appropriately.
Sheriff Terry Mears, echoed Stewart’s statement and said, “There was no threat whatsoever.”…
