MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama Port Authority has announced a contract with Konecranes for the delivery of two, new rubber-tired gantry cranes, a significant step toward the opening of the Montgomery Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF) in early 2027.
The project, which began construction in February 2025, is a nearly $100 million endeavor primarily funded through federal appropriations secured by former Sen. Richard Shelby.
