MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – A long-held vision is coming to life on the east side of Montgomery. It’s called The Difference, or “The Diff” for short. It’s a nonprofit dedicated to changing lives and communities through violence prevention programs, tutoring, mentoring, and much more.
Pastor and The Diff president Keith Moore believes people can do all things through Christ. However, he also understands that church can be intimidating for those in need. That’s why he believes a space where people can access help outside of church is necessary.
“Sometimes we can be so religious and so churchy that they don’t want to come to church, and sometimes they don’t want to seek government help, so what we want to do is bridge that gap between kingdom and community so that we can help people get the services they need with the love of Christ without necessarily proselytizing them,” Moore said…
