(NewsNation) — A missing Mississippi mother and her three-year-old daughter have been found dead, according to authorities.
Shardee McGill and her daughter, Janae, were reported missing last week. Authorities issued several alerts to the media as they searched for them, but said the case did not warrant an Amber Alert because it was not a kidnapping.
According to police, McGill and her daughter left their home in Jackson, Mississippi, on Sunday, Sept. 21, traveling in her Chevrolet Equinox.
