One person arrested for stealing catalytic converters in Alabama

ALABAMA — The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office says dozens of stolen items were recovered Thursday evening after deputies arrested a man in Ardmore.

Around 7:30 p.m., Deputy Nick Gibson spotted a vehicle with a switched license plate near Highway 251 and Bethel Road. When the driver, identified as 36-year-old Brandon Oneal Mitchell of Ardmore, noticed the deputy, he parked and ran from the scene, according to investigators.

After a brief chase, deputies said Mitchell resisted arrest but was safely taken into custody. A search of the vehicle uncovered three catalytic converters, burglary tools, and drug paraphernalia…
