Montgomery, AL – Governor Kay Ivey announced Friday that more than $3.7 million in state funding will be distributed to cities and counties across Alabama for 13 local road projects, underscoring her administration’s continued investment in the state’s infrastructure.
The grants represent the final round of funding for 2025 through the Alabama Department of Transportation’s (ALDOT) Annual Grant Program, created under the Rebuild Alabama Act. Passed by the Legislature and signed by Governor Ivey in 2019, the Act dedicates a minimum of $10 million annually from the state’s share of gas tax revenue specifically for local road and bridge improvements.
“Supporting all Alabama citizens for generations to come has always been my mission,” said Governor Ivey. “Through the Rebuild Alabama Act, we are delivering on that promise to make meaningful investments in local roads and bridges across the state. I am proud to say that Alabama is keeping our commitment to safer, stronger and more connected communities.”…
