ALABAMA (WDHN) – Gov. Ivey awards over $9 million for more highway safety efforts on all Alabama roads to help keep everyone safe from reckless driving.
The funds will help ALEA and 4 other state regional offices to relieve overtime for police officers, sheriff’s deputies and state troopers to monitor speeding, seat belt violations and impaired driving.
Ivey said, “Working together with these partners, our goals are to change driving behaviors and reduce fatalities to the best of our ability, helping ensure that everyone safely arrives at their destination.”…
