Montgomery fugitive arrested in Calera after trespassing call

A fugitive wanted for car theft in Montgomery was arrested in Calera after a trespassing incident at Glidewell Foundry.

At 3:36 a.m. Monday morning, police received a call about a person trespassing at the foundry. Officers arrived to find the suspect, who resisted arrest and refused to identify himself. After gaining control, officers took him to jail.

A photograph of the suspect was shared with surrounding agencies, leading Clanton police to recognize him from a Montgomery police wanted poster. The suspect’s identity was confirmed, and officers recalled an earlier report of suspicious activity on I-65. They discovered the stolen vehicle just south of Calera in Chilton County…
