Alabama’s workers are missing more pay than many during shutdown

Alabama is feeling the pain of the government shutdown more than most states, a study found.

Alabama ranks 13th nationwide for the number of federal workers missing pay during the shutdown, according to an analysis by GOBankingRates on the daily financial impact of the impasse, now the longest in history.

Federal employees would normally receive back pay once the government reopens, but President Trump has threatened that some may not this time because they “don’t deserve” it…
