MONTGOMERY, AL — As the United States prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, Governor Kay Ivey has proclaimed Wednesday, November 5 through Tuesday, November 11, 2025, as Veterans Week in Alabama. The observance honors the more than 400,000 veterans who call the state home and reaffirms Alabama’s longstanding commitment to those who have served.
Alabama is widely recognized as one of the nation’s most military- and veteran-friendly states. Under Governor Ivey’s leadership, the state has strengthened its support systems for veterans and their families through expanded benefits, workforce initiatives, and improved coordination across state agencies.
